Welcome to the crazy...

I have a sinus headache.

In fact, I've had some level of sinus headache since friday. On Saturday it evolved (devolved?) to migraine like proportions.

Today it's already nearing that. And I'm out of sinus meds. It's gonna be a long, long day.

However, it IS tuesday...which means that there's only today and tomorrow between me and a long weekend. It also means I have tonight and tomorrow night to get some housework done, bake pies, clean out my car, load my car with stuff I don't want to forget, pack, get a certain drummer boy to email me back so I know what we're doing on Saturday, and get some writing done.

I'm tired just writing that.

However, it should be noted that Thanksgiving is nearly upon us, and no matter what you think of it as a holiday or the way we celebrate it, etc, it is the doorway to the holiday season.

So...( Let's talk about that for a minute )

I finished the J2 fic over the weekend and posted it. That brings me the Numb3rs fic (if I can get those boys to behave), the Broken fic and two Chris/Jeff fics (though one is more Chris/Jeff/Steve/Jensen/Jared). I hope to finish the Numb3rs before I hit the road this weekend. I probably won't write much once I leave for my mother's house on Thursday. I'll be driving and with friends/family until I get home on Monday.

And...on that note, I should get busy.

I've been up for a while, but not really doing much. Drinking coffee, reading email, writing.

I need to get myself functional enough to do laundry today.

I've got soup cooking in the crock pot. Coffee's almost gone.

I'm hoping to finish the story I'm working on today. Then it's on to the next in the line up. That would be the Numb3rs fic, which is going to be a follow on to the last Numb3rs fic I wrote. Then the Broken piece. And we just added two new RPS fics to the list. One will be a follow on to the last daddy!kink piece. The other is a new JDM/Chris piece.

Hmmm...gonna be heading to Tucson & Phoenix next weekend. Would love to go see Steve in Vegas on the 10th, but there's just no real way to manage it. However, he's supposed to be doing a CD release party in LA when the album is finally finished, so I'll aim for that.

My aunt is home from the hospital and doing much better. Thanks to all of you that offered your prayers/thoughts/etc.

Hmmm...I think I need to go add some carrots and stuff to the soup...it smells really good in here!

Dude, what a weird night I had. Dead tired, but couldn't sleep. Then I'd sleep for two hours and be awake for a half hour, then sleep again for a while.

And still, I managed to have weird dreams. I don't remember all of them...but they were all about odd things from my past. The one I do remember was about this family that used to live up the hill from me when I was little. The Seltenreichs or something like that. I forget how to spell it. It also included me changing my clothes on their sidewalk at four in the morning. I don't know why.

Then I got up remembering why I was going to go to the store on my way home yesterday. I am out of coffee.

*shakes head*

A well, it's Wednesday. That's something...not sure what...but there you go.

Work continues to be work like.

I am dodging a plot bunny that bit me after staring at a damn picture that raggedy_edge foisted on me, but not all together successfully. I am trying to keep focused on the things I need to write. Really.

I've decided not to bitch today.

I should stop on my way home today to get coffee and the stuff for my part of Thanksgiving dinner.

I have some picture printing to do today too, now that I have ink.

And that, friends, is my Wednesday.

Three days in a row? Really? Apparently so.

The pain levels are much improved today, after a long massage yesterday. I still have some residual tightness in my shoulders and upper back, but that's to be expected I guess. I am grateful for two things here: prepaid massage time and an insurance company that may suck in many ways, but understands the value of massage and reimburses part of the cost.

Speaking of writing, currently on the plate being written is 6K from the daddy!kink verse. Next up after that is 12K J2 RPS, followed by 5K Numb3rs fic and newly added 10K of Broken!verse fic.

And, let me remind you of comment_fic where we offer you new themes and prompts daily in a multi-fandom, anything goes kind of environment! Come one, come all. Lots to write, lots to read. Some really amazing writers play in our sandbox. You should too!

Art submissions will inspire authors to write stories. I should look into getting some graphics made for the pimping. *ponders* I should post that over there too.

So, while trolling around my own LJ today I discovered I have been horribly lax in keeping up with folks that friended me...and such.

Now, part of that is that I expect LJ to tell me of these things, or for you to pop into the sticky note at the top of the journal to say hi, but also, it rather falls into my inability to really spend a whole lot of time on LJ lately.

So. I started my evening by purging people off my friends list. For the most part, I cut people who had already dropped me or who never friended me. I need to cut down the number of people I'm giving my time to, and even though some of you made for fascinating reading, it just wasn't going to work that way.

Not that anyone should panic. I hardly ever friends lock anything, so it's not as though you'll be missing anything. That said, if you've friended me and not popped up to say hi and stuff, here's a direct invitation to do so.
