So, first thing was I had trouble getting started, not unusual on the Monday after a long weekend.

I finally got myself motivated and out the door, get to my car, start it and look up.

And completely freak out. Seriously. I couldn't speak, or breathe...and then I started to cry.





This is what I see when I look up.

Now, I didn't leave my apartment at all yesterday. In fact, I parked it somewhere between 3 and 4pm on Saturday and haven't been near it since.




Not only is the windshield totaled, but the wiper and the whole under the windshield bits are trashed.





So now, instead of going to work, I'm sitting at home waiting for the insurance guy to call me back so I know what to do next. I've filed my claim and my police report. As soon as the landlord is in the office, I'm talking to him next.

ETA: And I just got off the phone with my insurance, and somehow they have me down for straight liability, and no collision. Which I know is not what I asked for when I set it up.

Which explains why the price is so low.

But does not help me pay for the damage.
